The Middle East is a geographical name for a general area with no clearly defined borders.
I've drawn the usual interpretation on the map. The term Middle East is sometimes expanded to the east to include Afghanistan and Pakistan in southern Asia, and to the west to include the North African countries of Libya and Algeria.
The Middle East is on the continent of Asia.
